Famous couples, scored by the letter games
Eight of the most famous pairs in stories, run through the exact LOVES and FLAMES rules used by the calculator on this site — same code, same counting, computed from the names as written here. The two games disagree about almost all of them, which tells you most of what there is to know about letter games.

The headline: Romeo & Juliet, 98%… and "Enemy"
The most famous lovers in English literature score 98% at LOVES: "romeojuliet" is rich in o's and e's, and the fold lands on 98. FLAMES, playing the same two names, crosses out the shared letters, counts the 9 survivors — and eliminates its way to Enemy. Both results are correct under their rules. A pair cannot actually be a 98% match and sworn enemies at once; the contradiction is the honest summary of what these games measure, which is spelling.
Harry & Sally: 21% and "Marriage"
The mirror image: a low LOVES score — their merged names are short on the five letters — alongside FLAMES' most committed verdict. If either game really knew anything about the pair, they would not be pointing in opposite directions.
